OEM part description
This genuine Sub-Zero icemaker metal control arm regulates ice production by sensing the level of ice in the bin. When the bin is full, the accumulated ice pushes the arm up, signaling the icemaker to stop making ice. As ice is removed, the arm drops, allowing the production of ice to resume.
Part details
Often called an ice maker shutoff arm, bail arm, or feeler arm, this part controls when the ice maker stops and starts making ice. If the arm is bent, loose, stuck, or broken, the ice maker may stop before the bin is full or continue producing ice when it should shut off.
