OEM part description
This genuine Sub-Zero ice level arm assembly monitors the amount of ice in the storage bin and controls when the icemaker stops and resumes production. The metal sensing arm and molded plastic component move with the ice level so the icemaker can shut off when the bin is full.
Part details
The ice level arm is what prevents the icemaker from continuing to produce ice after the storage bin is full. A bent, broken, sticking, or worn arm can cause overflowing ice, premature shutoff, intermittent production, or an icemaker that does not restart as ice is removed.

Tech Tip: Make sure the arm moves freely through its full travel and is not catching on the ice bin or surrounding components. A binding arm can mimic an icemaker failure even when the icemaker itself is operating normally.
