Genuine Sub-Zero icemaker metal and plastic control arm used to sense the ice level in the storage bin and stop ice production when the bin is full. As ice builds up, the arm rises; when the ice level drops, the arm lowers so normal ice production can resume.

This genuine Sub-Zero icemaker plastic and metal control arm regulates ice production by sensing the level of ice in the bin. When the bin is full, the accumulated ice pushes the arm up, signaling the icemaker to stop making ice. As ice is removed, the arm drops, allowing the production of ice to resume.
