OEM part description
Genuine Wolf oven safety valve for the bake burner system in select R Series gas ranges. During a call for bake heat, the hot-surface igniter heats and draws the current needed to open the valve, allowing gas to reach the bake burner. Flex tube included.
Part details
The safety valve is a critical part of Wolf’s bake ignition system and controls when the oven supplies gas to the burner. A failed valve can leave the igniter glowing while the burner never lights, so the oven won't heat. Because a weak igniter can cause the same symptom, check the igniter before replacing the valve.
Tech Tip: A glowing igniter is not necessarily a good igniter. Wolf specifies approximately 3.3–3.6 amps for the glow-coil igniter; low amp draw can keep the safety valve from opening even though the igniter visibly glows.
