OEM part description
This genuine Sub-Zero water filter manifold holds and connects the replaceable water filter to the refrigerator’s water system. Incoming water enters the manifold, passes through the installed filter, and then continues through the appliance water system to supply the ice maker and, on dispenser-equipped models, the water dispenser. Serial Number Requirement: Starting with serial number 4134313. For serial numbers prior to 4134313, see Catalog ID S1238.

The water filter cannot do its job without a properly functioning manifold. The manifold must hold the filter securely and maintain the water path through the cartridge. Damage to the housing, filter connection, internal sealing area, or water connections can cause leaks, poor water flow, filter-installation problems, reduced ice production, or weak dispenser flow.
