This freezer evaporator fan motor circulates cold air throughout the freezer compartment to maintain consistent temperatures and proper ice production. When the fan becomes weak, begins to slow down in RPM, or produces a high‑pitched squeal or whine, you may notice thawing items, stalled ice‑harvest cycles, uneven frost patterns, or the freezer running much longer than normal due to poor airflow.
