OEM part description
This genuine Sub-Zero evaporator fan motor powers the fan that circulates cold air through select BI-Series refrigerator and freezer compartments. It is used as the motor-only service replacement when the original fan motor has failed and the remaining fan housing, blade, and mounting components can be reused.

Proper evaporator airflow is necessary to move cold air away from the evaporator and distribute it through the compartment. A worn or failing motor can cause weak circulation, warmer areas, temperature imbalance, intermittent cooling, or unusual fan noise.
