Part Description
The genuine Sub-Zero blue glass bulb is specially designed for refrigerator and freezer compartments. Its blue-tinted glass provides the clean, bright, premium interior lighting appearance originally intended for the appliance, while avoiding the warmer, yellow look common in many similar generic blue-looking replacement bulbs. Sub-Zero rates this bulb for approximately 1,000 hours of service life.
Part details
Using the correct factory bulb helps maintain the proper fit, wattage, light output, and heat characteristics. Aftermarket or generic replacement bulbs can vary in size and construction even when marked with the proper wattage and color, potentially concentrating extra heat around the bulb, socket, or light shield.
Excessive localized heat can discolor, warp, or damage the light shield and may contribute to socket deterioration over time. This genuine bulb maintains the original blue-white premium interior lighting appearance Sub-Zero intended.
