Genuine Sub-Zero heat exchanger for the lower wine-storage compartment of select 427R models. Although this is referred to as the lower wine heat exchanger, it is physically located at the middle evaporator position, between the upper wine evaporator and the lower refrigerator evaporator.

The lower wine-storage compartment relies on its evaporator and heat exchanger to maintain the selected wine-storage temperature. A leaking, restricted, kinked, or damaged heat exchanger can lead to reduced cooling, temperature instability, refrigerant loss, or extended compressor run time.
